1st tip: short, regular cleaning with a water hose or power jet is better than major spring cleaning!

In all cases, avoid using detergents, which means you'll be protecting your equipment and the environment. And, forget about using abrasive sponges. A soft sponge and warm, soapy (washing-up liquid for example) water will do the trick.

  1. Begin by wetting your enclosure with a water jet, without using a high-pressure cleaner.

  2. Then scrub the enclosure sides and structure with your sponge and soapy water, starting at the top.

  3. Rinse with clean water, always starting at the top down to the bottom. Pay particular attention to the seals, which are exposed to more humidity and dirt.

  4. Finish off by drying with a soft absorbent microfibre cloth. Try your best to do your cleaning on a day when there's no sun to avoid soapy marks caused by your enclosure drying too fast. Or clean in two parts: wash one part and rinse before moving on to the next part of your enclosure.

  5. Check all the mechanisms by opening and closing your openings regularly. You can also find spare parts, if you need them, on our online store: https://www.abrisudshop.com
